Pre-planning North Kelsey Moor

We are now at the pre planning stage for the project at Smithfield Farm in and are consulting about the proposed works. It was decided to opt for pre-planning advice from WLDC due to the scale of the project. The integrated garage adds a significant floor area to the extension which would be much more moderate in scale if constructed as a detached item under permitted development rights.

Clients and architects in don’t always use the pre- planning advice route, available from local councils, which has typically become a chargeable item in the planning process. Pre-planning helps highlight any issues associated with a planning application so that they can be addressed prior to a full planning application to give the best chance of approval.

We look forward to bringing you further news of the project once pre-planning advice has been received.

Architectural Project: North Kelsey Moor

Origin beat off the competition of Lincoln architects to work on the redevelopment of a 1960′s bunglaow in near in . The existing property is certainly in need of a major overhaul and the new owners are certainly planning to do this. The proposal is to create a home which resembles a barn conversion using timber framed windows, brick skirting and a cream render to the existing walls.

The existing building is to be extended to form a much longer shape allowing space for the addition of a double garage and garden room. The shallow pitch of the roof is slightly uncharacteristic of a brick barn and the internal spacial arrangement has been carefully thought out to ensure rooms and storage give adequate space. The initial 3d images have now been prepared and waiting to be reviewed before the scheme is developed further.
