The barn at the Old Vicarage in Tealby is part of a Grade II Listed building. The project brief for the barn was to create a habitable space for the owners of the property and create a new premises from which they could run their business.

The eastern elevation of the barn faces the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire wolds and the approved design included a fully glazed gable at first floor level.

The project is currently onsite and is to be completed at the end of 2012.

This was a project that any architect would love to have worked on. With the incredible Lincoln Catherdral in the background, our East Bight housing development was positioned on a parcel of land situated in the historical part of Lincoln city centre. With the existing property being derelict, the project aim was to convert the existing building into two prestigious semi-detached properties. Not only was the site situated within a conservation area it was also close to a scheduled Roman monument; therefore it was vital our design solution placed emphasis upon the protection and preservation of local archaeology and heritage.

Origin was responsible for developing the concept of the property, gaining planning permission and building regulations for TC Developments Ltd. Our final design used a contemporary palette of materials which complemented the local surroundings including stone walls, white render and timber cladding.We think you'll agree,the end result is truly impressive.
